THE BOBS

There is a question which is bringing so much controversy in Turkey for several days: Who should get the power? And the fact is that there´s happening a confrontation according this previous question. We´ve got two sides: The Government, which answers “We should”, and the people, the ones who vote, who say “We, the people, should”. They think that they are the ones who vote, so they are the ones who should decide who is going to be in charge. But reality could not be like that.

It all started on March, 30^th 2014. Local elections had taken place, and the result wasn´t clear at all. There are some suspects about a possible manipulation in the elections result. While AKP won the elections, the opposition, also known as CHP, says that it has evidences about this manipulation. They say that over 6.240 ballots could be manipulated either modified. These accusations could have had a huge impact on Turkey society, which nowadays believe that they are not helping to create the Government, but they are being cheated.

And the fact is that this movement has spread above the country, creating not only a blog, but also a MOVEMENT. The name of the blog is Oy Ve Ötesi. This blog is Turkey´s voice, this is what Turley wants: A free elections, without lies and without any manipulated result. Only in Istambul, over 33.000 helpers are ready to take this elections in a fair way.

Each year, the Bobs take place. These awards are for the best blog ever, and there are so many categories. I´ve selected the best Social Activism category, because that´s exactly what this Cinemactivism Movement is all about. And if you want to change this world, the first thing you have to do is to have a good and appropiated Government. Turkey can get it, and if they do, the change of this world will start.
